Any steel can rust, bit 204P is VERY stainless so it would take some effort to get it to rust...

No, it won't patina...

Isn't 204p pretty much stainless? I'm no expert, but I'd expect it to get rust spots and not a homogeneous patina.

No, it's the same as m390, not s90v.

Stainless rusts as I am a saltwater fisherman with a boat and it's a constant battle.Stainless will pit also.The only exception I have found is Spyderco's H1 steel.Just care for your blades and wash with soap and water and keep it lubed.Sweat has caused pitting on stainless blades if uncared for from my experiences.Keeping a knife in a sheath for a long period especially leather may do the same.Patina is a no go.....

That's 20CP. Letters are definitely close
