This is just a quick Note/Reminder to let everyone know about the 20th Annual Batson Blade Symposium and Knife Show being held April 4-6, 2008 at Tannehill State Park, just SW of Birmingham, AL. As this is its 20th year we at the Alabama Forge Council have decided to say thanks by letting everyone register for FREE.. its normally $125.. but this year is free for all those who attend. Were asking for auction donations to help defray the costs.

This is THE hammer-in for knife makers and blade enthusiasts. Were expecting 300-500 of of some of the best makers in the world. Jim Batson, Jerry Fisk, Steve Schwarzer, Don Fogg, Rob Hudson and over 100 other previous demonstrators have been a part of this gathering. This years featured demonstrators are Wade Coulter, Rick Dunkerley, Richard Williams and Alan Longmire.

Were asking that all those planning to attend please pre-register with Judd Clem (AJC665@peoplepc.com)so we can have an accurate count for planning purposes.

For more details and information please drop me a line @ bamablacksmith at comcast.net and I'll reply with the info packet.

Hope to see you there!!

I'll be there for sure. Three hours from Jackson, MS. One of the oldest, if not the oldest hammer-in. In my opinion, always the best one.

Cheers,

Oh, you bad boys,
John

Just messin' Mr. Hanson was just as bad. He pulled what was, in the opinion of many, his premier piece from the MS judging because of a scratch on the ferrule that I don't think anyone else was ever able to see even when he tried to point it out to us.;)
