This one gave me pause. I was checking out Alibaba to see if there were any Buck 103 Counterfit skinners and came across this one. They don't even try to hide it. They may be faking the knife but the model used for the pictures is real IMO. Even the krinked packing paper in the box. Before you get too excited, the minimum order is 24 so $504. Blade dimensions are a bit messed up.

I have never understood how Buck can make certain model knives, ship them to China, and then Chinese sellers can then ship them back to the U.S. for $20-30. ;) Of course, they aren't legitimate so that probably helps. Any knife with USA stamped on it when it comes from China is a huge red flag. You need to check out all of the "authentic" Buck, Montana Knife Company, Benchmade, and CRKT knives on Temu. Some of them look pretty close to the real thing while others are very bad copies. Of course, there are always the interesting, random designs that just have Buck printed on the blade.

Sad that they are copying everything possible. I feel real bad for the people who get taken by the dishonest people who try to pass them off as real in the US.
I feel even more sad for the folks who think they bought a "real" Buck and send the counterfeit to Post Falls for warranty service ...

Same. The Chinese knockoff products really infuriate me. Some grandma somewhere buys her grandson a Buck Knife for Christmas online and it ends up being a Chinese fake.

I try not to buy anything made in China these days.
Some stuff is only made there, but with a large majority of things you can shop around and find a domestic option if not at least some other foreign country.

Thanfully with Buck their American made knives are such an easy proposition, their bread and butter knives are American made.

Most on here have no problem purchasing shoes, shirts, pants, overcoats, electronics, automobiles, toys, etc etc etc from foreign manufacturers (aka China) but get all patriotic and jingoistic about a $20 knife. Quite humorous.

They really are, not just big stuff either. Small business owners are at risk too. Basically any product hat does consistent sales is at risk of being copied...
