Hi guys,

Last week I received a very nice 21 inch Sirupate. This beauty is clearly a warrior.
While looking at it, I noticed how interesting the last part of the blade could be for a hunter knife. Here's what a 5min photoshop job did to my idea of a fantastic hunter.

I like the idea so much, I don't know how long I will be able to control my compulsive disorder to make a custom order for it.

I present you the Yeti Hunter :- )
It's a 12 inch knife,
6 inch handle, full tang!
6 inch blade, 0.35 thick (Exactly the same as the last 6 inch of that Sirupate)

What do you think?

The Karda is much thinner (at least the one I got) and more like a Kitchen knife.

Indeed not far from from the R10 (I found a good picture of it in another forum)

The shape I have in mind proposes an edge that can be completely and easily sharpen on a flat stone without increasing the dent over times (Unlike the R10)

I agree. Should be pretty easy for them to make you one of those when they get caught up with stuff.
Nice looking knife. I'd shrink it down myself. Don't really need a 6" blade for a hunter and a 6" handle is much larger than an average hand needs.

Course that's just my humble opinion. Your sure good at the photoshop thing. I could probably get in a lot of trouble if I knew how to do that.

Advice taken.

I can shorten the handle by an inch if we make it similar to the R10. Which would be also "cheaper" since it requires less work.
I wanted to be able to also do batonning with the knife, that's why I went with 6 inches.

Still from the same thread as the R10, an handle like this one would be very nice:

Whoooah! That is sweet! Looks like a Bahadur! Maybe my scale is off? Hmmm? Micro Bahadur? I do like your Siru idea but agree with Bawanna. Shrink the handle a bit. A little offset like you have is cool:thumbup: "Yeti Hunter" is taken tho.

Ok ndog thanks, I ran a query for "Yeti Hunter" and found it in the HI PDF Catalog... Along with a great story straight from Yangdu's memories. So I'll think of another name for it.

Shrinking the handle makes sense. The revise version of the handle would be more around ~5 inches without bolster and similar looking as what you referred as the Bahadur above.

After taking advices and messing around with Photoshop again.... Here's another take on it:

On my screen, the above pic shows a 6 inch blade, which would be the actual "real size". Not bad at all.

Much meaner look than the first take. More westerner too...

I took another shot a the Sirupate blade to make it look little better on the prototype.
Request for quote has been sent to Auntie.
