A while ago they put up a Bura made WW2 with cracked handle for $60. Supposedly 21" long and 21 ozs.

It came in and measured 16.5". Horn a bit shrunken and cracked per description. Butt cap had one place where I could dribble in liquid superglue. I got as much in as I could. Crack mentioned was at 11 o'clock, maybe 1/16th wide, half inch long. Not a problem, but the horn had shrunk between handle and rear of bolster. Liquid superglue was used but ran back out. Got superglue gel into crack and around bolster, used black magic marker to color before set up too firm, ran a bit more liquid stuff in, and topped with more gel. It's set up for a few days and I need to file down the buttcapp til even with the horn, sand off any lumps of superglue, and the same up at the front of the handle. Once I get it done right, there won't be any evidence it ever cracked.

That leaves me with 2 ( a Bura and a Sher ) 18" WW2's
A Sher 16.5 WW2, a Bura 16.5 WW2, a second Bura in case anything happens to the first Bura, and now a third Bura 16.5.

What can I say? You already know, I think, that the 16.5" WW2 is my choice for best all around khuk. And you shoould know I have a thing about redundancy... but FOUR 16.5 WW2's? It's because umm, oh, I'll think on it and get back to you. Sure I will, I'm a moderator

Little Bro there is nothing you can say, Nothing!
When it comes to the 16.5 WW II by Bura methinks you cannot think period, but go on the "What If Survival Mode", not a bad thing at all.
You have my Blessing for whatever that's worth.:D ;) :p

Rusty, that sounds like me and the Baby Ganga Rams. For some reason the WWII's just never felt great to me; nice blades, but not really like an extension of my arm. Those little Ganga Rams just feel great though. The last one I got, a carved horn handled one by Bura feels like it is glued to my hand when I hold it!

Good fix on the handle. I have lousy luck with the superglue, but maybe it's because I'm not using the gel stuff. I'll have to try it.

Regards,

Norm
