21 vs Inkosi lock bar question

Hate to start a whole thread about this but need to know before I order something. I can see from pics that the relief for lockbar access is quite different with the 21 getting much more access. And I can see that the 21 bar edge is much more chamfered. So my question is if the lockbar of the Inkosi hurts much more than the 21 for repeated closings? Looks like it would since it is sharper and only allowing the edge of your thumb.

Any opinions from those who have both?

I own both and can say there are no issues or hot spots with either lockbars. My inkosi lockbar is not nearly as stiff as the 21. It is much softer/less tension to unlock. They both are easily accessible for medium sized hands in my opinion. The inkosi although shorter in length than a small 21 is slightly wider feeling which may account for the relief not needing to be quite as large. You can't go wrong with either knife. I will say I think the ergos of the 21 fit more people's hand sizes better than the inkosi. Some people prefer the feel of the inkosi more but the 21 seems more universal for ergos/grip.

Thanks. I have a large 21 and want to get another CRK and was interest in trying an Inkosi but that lock bar was scaring me a little. Good to know. Thx.

IMO, the Inkosi is the easiest lock bar to disengage out of all the CRK's on the market today. I would guess it's because the pocket clip doesn't rest on the lock bar thus creating less resistance when disengaging the lock bar. It's definitely easier than the 25 and Umnumzaan.

+1 the inkosi is the easiest to disengage and also its not sharp at all very easy on the lockbar. It is definitely because of the pocket clip tension. Have tested it on 25/21/zaan with standart CRK clip.
