I've asked my wife for the 211 for me Bday and've been fascinated with the knife since I first saw it but have a couple o' questions...

How thick is the sheath? It looks pretty fat but if anyone who has either the 210 or the 211 could give me some measurements I'd really appreciate it.

Would the sheath work with pocket carry or do I need to make my own? Thats where I want it and don't want to put a naturally beautiful knife like that into a synthetic sheath. I like the design of the AG Russell Woodswalker sheath and would probably make a sheath like that if it came down to it.

And, to conclude, what are your thoughts on the 211 if anyone has one?

Thanks in advance.

I gotta ask. What is a 210 or a 211? Who makes'um? Maybe everyone knows but me but it just doesn't ring any bells right now. I'm probably just having another senior moment:)

The 210 and 211 are small benchmade fixed blades. I own the 211 and can say its one great knife, especially for EDC because of its size. Here are the measurements on the sheath for the 211.

Height : 3 7/8"

Width : 2 1/16"

Thickness : 6.5/16"

The sheath looks a little big for the 211 but it looks like it could withstand alot of wear and tear so i dont mind. All my measurements did not include the belt loop on the sheath shich is of a decent size also. I think you could carry it in your pocket as an EDC everday without being to uncomfortable but I prefer to just put it on my belt because its not that big and noticable. Overall this is a great knife to have and its great for small skinning jobs because of the tiny recurve it has in the blade. 211 is definitely worth it  .

Thank you very much!! I appreciate the time you took for the measurements. It doesn't sound to bad and I'll definately carry it. A nice sheeple friendly and small fixed blade to complement my D2 Grippie.

I'm really gettin to be a D2 freak! :p

No problem :) . Just trying to spread the word on another great knife by BM.

I've got a 210 since a few weeks. Nice little knife, a great EDC IMO. The sheath is pretty large for such a small knife, search the forums more people think Benchmade didn't do a good job sheathwise. However, the 210 is a Snody design, if you look at the original knife Snody designed you'll see the sheaths are similar.

The sheath can be used for pocket carry but the belt loop makes your trouser pocket bulge. "Is that a knife in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" One option could be cutting off the belt loop as someone here suggested.

What I would like is a kydex sheath that offers belt, pocket and tether carry. The kydex sheath on the Benchmade site looks promising.
