Well, I've been here long enough and figured 215 is close enough to 1000 posts to do my first give away. I've learned far more here than I ever expected, and in less time!
Anyways, as some of you know, I've been working on a little project to create a database of knife reviews which with a little work will hopefully become a pretty nice resource. As a thank you to those who have contributed, and incentive to those who haven't yet, I'm giving away my first EDC knife I ever carried.
Here are the rules:
1) By entering this give-away you are affirming that you are at least 18 years of age and the knife given away is legal to own in your jurisdiction.
2) You release the giver(me) from any liability that results from your participating in this give-away. This includes any damages that may result from using, abusing, the knife.
3) This giveaway is open to everyone with over 50 posts.
4) Entry is open to those in the USA. Sorry international guys. I will pay shipping.
5)The giveaway will run until 10:00pm, Pacific Time on Sunday, Jan 31, 2010. Winner will be chosen within 24 hours after the contest ends.
6) I ask the winner to post in this thread when they recieve their knife!
To enter:
1) Go to www.kniferating.com, find your knife and add a meaningful review to the database(if your knife isn't there suggest it and I'll add it). Then post here in this thread and mention the knife you reviewed, date, and name you posted under. Your post number here will be your entry number.
2)To give everyone a fair chance, you may only get credit for doing this up to 3 times(so up to 3 posts in this thread, 1 post per knife), any extras won't be counted for the giveaway.
3)Reviews must be written after this contest starts.
That's it!
The knife:
I'm giving away a Byrd Crow, designed by Spyderco. I carried this knife for about 6 months, and it was my first EDC. It's used but in decent shape. If you haven't gotten to try the Byrd knives yet, this is a great opportunity. Do not underestimate this little knife!

So with that, thanks everyone, good luck, and please avoid making any additional posts in this thread.
