There is some room to spare. What can I add to maximize the space that is left? The titanium cylinders are produced by exodus125. I carry mine on my belt in a Maxpedition 5" flashlight holder when in the field. This brings the total weight of the cylinder, contents and holder to 9.4oz.

Pros:
- Bombproof and watertight.
- Sheeple friendly. It looks like a flashlight in its case.
- Cylindrical shape fits well in hand and pocket.

Cons:
- Sinks like a stone.
- Relatively heavy. A thinner walled version would be a lot lighter and might float.
- Expensive.

I would try to add something for water. Maybe a small container or chlorine or a few tables (maybe even smashed up) in a bag. You can always add a piece of foam used for boating to prevent it from sinking.

I have even seen some with a flexible mirror (can be used to signal) or just get a bright color.

Throw some scalpel or razor blades in there. I'd also add some water purification tablets. While I'm not a proponent of these typically, maybe a unlubed condom for water carry.

I was thinking a small magnifying glass and some magnesium powder also. A fire sure makes a huge difference when you're down and out. With enough sun a magnifying glass will produce any number of fires on demand. It's worth it's weight I think.

The ah-1 arrowhead will be far more usefull then razor blades. I would personally add a small section of ceramic rod to sharpen the arrowhead.

reinforce the seams of a quality 1qt ziploc bag (breast milk bag or doggy poo bag) with tape and fold it under the band on the fixed blade, or smaller bag around the cylinder and hold in place with Ranger bands with a couple of ClO2 tabs,...would switch out some of the fishing kit for a pair of tweezers, grease pencil to leave information, clip a whistle and micro light to outside
