.22 mag auto pistol- 30 round magazine :D

It certainly looks spiffier than the old Grendel P-30, and will probably be easier to find a holster for. If it is less picky about ammo, it should be a blast to play with.

Looks interesting, but unfortunately it does not come in 22LR & they have no plans to make one in 22LR.

On the Keltec forum, they said they would do it if they could get a .22 lr version of the magazine figured out.

I have a friend who had already ordered one for testing for a gun mag. I will def post up pics when we take it out to the range!

I think if it feeds well it will be a beast of a plinker, but .22 mag prices arent nearly as cheap as .22 lr

No kidding. But if you like to make noise, .22WMR though a pistol will git'r done. :D

It sounds good, but the WMR doesn't perform all that well in a short barrel.

One of the guys at the shop was thinking about a NAA WMR revolver until I show him the ballistics out of short barrels. There is a lot of bang and flash if you like that. :D

Some .22LR loads do almost as well.

1/3 more velocity when you compare the fastest 30 grain Magnums to the fastest 30 grain LRs. Seems to be a decent margin. I think I'd rather have one in LR, though.

The NAA Black Widow has a 2" barrel, which will hurt the velocity of any round. Small rimfires are usually close the same velocity out of a 6" barrel as they are out of a rifle.

i second ya on the noise factor, a bud has a 'j' snubbie 22 mag and other than my glock 33 in 357SIG its the loudest pistol i have ever fired, i shot it once and forgot to put my muffs on, i wont ever do that again, my ears are still ringing.

True, but the Kel-Tec only has a 4.3" barrel. Subtract about 1.5" for the chamber and you have less then a 3" barrel. The revolver loses a bit in the gap between the cylinder and barrel, but not that much.

You may notice that in the Kel-Tec specs no mention or muzzle velocity is made. They claim 138 ft/lbs of muzzle energy which is less then half of what you get from a rifle.

Besides all that, a box of WMR costs about $6 to $10 as opposed to about $2 for .22LR.

To each his own though. I do dumber things. :D

The really fun part is handing it to someone else who has seen and heard you firing it, but has no idea what to expect when they touch off the first round. :D

Seems kind of odd to do it in .22 magnum. The FNH in 5.7 is pretty much the same thing isn't it?

A .22 lr version would kind of be the ultimate plinker.

Not exactly.

5.7x28 is pretty close to .22 mag, fired out of a rifle.

.22 mag out of a pistol is pretty close to .22 lr fired out of a rifle.

I know. .22 mag is too expensive for a high cap plinker.

This is one of those things where I've often found myself thinking, "I wonder why someone hasn't. . ." Well now they have. Cool

I really liked the look of this thing when it came out, but the cost of .22 WMR will keep me from buying it unless I can pick it up for real cheap. I have a Ruger MkIII and can hit almost anything out to about 20 yards, I can't really think of what I'd be shooting at that distance (squirrels, rabbits, etc.) with .22 LR that I would need more power for.

Having said that, my Marlin 982VS in .22 WMR is an amazing gun. I can hit a small clay (2") out to 125 yards in almost any condition all day long. You can tell by the crack that you are shooting a WMR and would never confuse it with a LR. The new v-max bullets they are loading into .22 WMR make the gun even more accurate and significantly faster.

That looks like a really cool pistol. I had a Kel-Tec P40 several years ago and it was great for the money.
