Blood in the water!

I've already got a quasi-FF to hold me over. I'll sit this one out. (If there are any left tomorrow after I get home from work - and I'm not expecting that any will be - then I can't be held responsible for what I will do.)

There are going to be some very happy folks in the near future. :) Man, that looks nice.

They look exactly like the 2 prototypes that came in a few weeks ago. Looks like they got it locked in! I never reported on mine, or rather I did write a long write up and then my computer locked up and I lost it, but the fit & finish and scabbard fit are first rate. The cho is slightly creepy, but is 1/32" inch less than 7/8, or 27/32nds. (Or a 32nd past 1/4" more than the one on Yvsa's 17" 28 oz. prototype.) It's small and well done though. These look about the same, which makes sense, and maybe even a bit less. Too close for me to tell by the pic. The chandan is the nicest piece I have. You guys are going to be happy with these I'm sure!

Wow, how many tries did it take? We got some interesting variants though. (-:

Hello Daniel

Would you please provide me with as much information on this khukuri as possible: OA length, blade length, blade thickness, max. blade width, material used for the handle, knife weight, total weight (scabbard included), its price and whatever else you consider important. Also, how come and these don't go through Yangdu?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

These are from a special run - made to order. I am handling the "distribution"...but the knives are in Reno with Yangdu. It sounds complicated, but it is actually easier this way...


Reminder - priority is being given to the prepaid list folks...




Important Update:

Upon inspection, it seems 2 of these have chipped handles. So, here's how we're going to handle it...

1 - The "Good 20" will go to the prepaid list.
2 - If any on the prepaid list did not get one of the "Good 20" then they can pick up one of these 2 blems or wait for the next batch (which are already being made)
3 - If no prepaid folks jump on the 2 blems, then it opens back up to the general H.I. crowd.

Ok....it's about time to wrap this up...there are some on the prepaid list that haven't been around for a little while - to those, I apologize. This recent delivery is spread all over Yangdu's kitchen and needs to be shipped out a.s.a.p.

There will be more, folks...

I'm going to authorize shipment for those who contacted me and are on the prepaid list. By the time Yangdu is finished shipping those, if there are any stragglers on the list that want to jump in, email me. Otherwise, I'm going to open it up to the general public (read: frenzy) including the 2 blems.
