:.(

After all, you get to decide if it would've been worth that to you. To originally have it made would've been approx. $430... but u know, haven't been made for a while, so it would've appreciated in value.

honestly, i'm too busy drooling over the pics to answer either way...

It looks nice but I'm not sure 'bout the $700...

Whats the handle material?

Don't know how much I can help, but I'll try.

That's a Devon Thomas High Contract "Vine & Roses" pattern Damascus Mach1.

I can't tell as I can't see the logo real well in the picture, but I'd be willing to wager it's one of the (year) 2000 Pre Production Prototypes.

If so, I can tell you that all the 2000 Damascus pieces are hand ground blades done by Ernie in production bodies. They originally went for between $650 and $800 each. There were a handfull of Mach1s, Cqc7s and Commanders done.

knife_boi is correct that you can order a Damascus Mach1 from the C/P shop for about $430. They may even have a few on hand to send out.

The question is, is it one of the handgrounds?

the person that was selling it to me said that the blade was hand finished by ernest, but the handle was factory made. I am not sure wether to buy it or not, is it going to be worth more in the furure? maybe i'll buy it, but if I don't, is anyone else intersted? I can still get it for you.

Just a word of advice . . .

Buy knives you like, you'll do nothing but loose money "investing" in knives. Of course the way the Stock Market has been looking lately . . . .

:D
