Here is another typical village rig. This one is a 23 inch, 1 pound, 10 ounce Chainpuri. Fit is pretty good but finish shows grind marks entire length of the blade. Edge is maybe 58 or 59 Rc and this is a tough knife made to be used. As you may be able to see a chip is gone off the aft edge of the handle -- the story of the Chainpuri handles. Scrollwork and brass inlay are surprisingly good for a villager but a showpiece it ain't.

Scabbard is okay and the frog is excellent because it is an HI superfrog. Karda and chakma are worthless.

The price for this village rig is $85 delivered to your door and we will send it with an HI guarantee.

Call or email if interested.

Notice two things:

1) it lasted 7 minutes

2) notice WHO grabbed it.

23 inches, 26 ounces, only 3 oz over the inch an ounce ratio. It may not be a 25 inch Kumar Kobra, but at 85 bucks I just might take two of these for 170 bucks rather than one kumar for near the same price.

Personally I consider these to be like the model 10 or 13 S&W 38/357 police trade in guns, or the used colt official police 38's.
95% as good as the latest "ultimate" fad of the day in defense guns that costs 1000 or 1500 bucks, and you can buy 5 or 6 for the same price and put one in the car, one in the truck, one in the office desk, one next to the front door, one at the bedside... Pay an extra 20 or 30, and get a couple stainless versions and add lanyards, and in an emergency you won't end up coming out the bathroom with only soap on a rope and a towel to defend yourself with ( VBEG ).

Anyway, same principals with the villagers. A villager in the hand beats a Kobra back in the safe.

Sounds good to me!!!

I love a purty knife or gun as well as the next man, however you should see an old Mossberg Bolt Action 20 Gauge I have!! I had it cadmiumn plated many, many years ago as I wanted a gun I could throw in the bottom of a boat and still get a duck or squirrel or if I cut the shell in half, a deer if one should become available.
A shotgun shell cut n half and fired makes a horrific hole in whatever it hits!! ( I tied it to a tree and test fired it with a Looooong string several times to know if it was safe to do so!!

The old gun is loaded and has been for years. I could have bought the parts needed at one time to replace the clip and the screws that held that part of the mechanism in for less than$5.00. It's still a single shot on a beat up old cut down miltary stock, but I know I can depend on that old gun no matter what.

I may not have enough of the pretty khukuri's as yet, but I would like to see more villagers like this and the one Harry got.
Especially like the one Harry got!!!

These are like my old 20 gauge!!
They will never fail you when the chips are down. And that ain't the ones out of the buffalo either.

Uncle Bill, methinks BirGhorka needs to grab the next visiting kami and have him make a good villager for ¥vsa.

That's a wonderful idea Harry!!!

Make it a replica of the one you got only about 16"-17" and about
1 3/4 pounds!!
Actually a full curving model like the one you got would be perfect!
I really like that hammer dingy finish as James calls it!!

Like I said, "I still have a piece of that old pruneing shear."
