  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

A perfect afternoon for enjoying a fire on my "back forty". :D

Fatwood shavings + seasoned ash = quick & easy fire.

This old Plumb axe cost me $3 at a local flea market, but is probably my favorite. It just blasts through the big rounds and is still managable when you choke up to the head for splitting the small stuff. The JK Roach Belly is also a favorite for both camp & kitchen.

Nothing more to say... just wanted to share my day. I really enjoy seeing other folk's campfire shots. :) Feel free to post yours.

looks like a perfect way to spend an afternoon

I like that Plumb axe, an absolute steal at $3.00  I have one of their small hatchets.

That does look like a nice afternoon. The only thing that would make that a better afternoon would be about 30 more degrees ;)

I'm loving that JK Roach Belly. Looks like a perfect companion for the axe. Nice patina developing, too!

Best,

- Mike
