This is my new showpiece, its a monster and it is forged perfectly. It was listed with neem wood but I am not sure its neem. It looks more like Dhar but the karda and chakma are definitely neem. The handle arrived extremely dry but I worked my BLO and wet sandpaper magic on it. There are now pinks and reds showing in the grain. The sheath was made from a heavier leather which I much prefer. The khuk is perfect! Polish is Perfect! sharpness level is perfect!

To say I am pleased is an understatement. Here are some pics of the wood before and after. Let me know what you think...

This thing is a monster! It has a 1/2 spine that tapers all the way to the tip very gracefully and uniformly...

The pictures really don't do it justice. It needs to be held to be truly appreciated. Hope you enjoyed!

Very nice GB, what a perfect addition to the collection. Who was the Kami?

The kami is Lachhu, I think he is becoming my favorite. I started being in love with Bhakta's work until I got my Bashpati, then Rajkumar quickly became my fav. I have three Lachhu's now and his stuff is just amazing. The level of fit and finish is great. Oh...Thamar made one hell of a Dui Chirra.

That is one sexy blade alright:thumbup: I just love the sharp angle on the knee of the Chitlangi's. Didnt you get the brother to it also?

44oz! Egads phillll! That's grandpappy! How long is that Siru? Is it a 30" model? Looks more like 28".

Dang Phil, you're bordering Into sword territory...

You call that a knife? THIS is a knife! Haha

My Siru is about 20 inches? I'd love to weild some of the big ones :D

Lachhu seems to have a lot of really nice work coming up as DOTDs lately. He made my first kukri, an 18" WWII.

They are both 25" the perspective of the photo is just a bit weird. That one is a featherweight in comparison at only 32 oz, only about 0.5 oz heavier than my 25" kobra.

My first long one. 25" Siru (Tirtha). They sure are pretty when shiny!
