It's much thinner and easier to pocket than I thought it was going to be. In pictures it looks much fatter and awkward than it really is. Love the feel of the ebony in my hands! This is my first ebony scaled knife and now I see what all the hype is about. It wont be my last ebony knife that's for sure. I'll write a little more about it as I have time to look over it a little more. Fit and finish is excellent though! I picked it up from Bob at Old Hundred Collectibles. My first purchase from him but wont be my last! Excellent communication and super fast shipping. Just seems like an all around great guy.

I like hearing that, Im biased towards thin handles, and single blade knives
could you post a side by side thickness comparison with a Case Peanut?

Here is my first Ebony, and first Gec,

my pemberton next to my stag peanut. I really like the flatter profile of the pemberton handle

Ya I really like how you can see my hand reflection on the bolster. Especially how it distorted my hand and it looks like some kind of twisted mutant claw lol. Those were just some quick pictures I took on my desk at work. My camera really is a piece of junk from 2003 that I need to replace but I can't stop spending my money and knives! It took me 15 pictures at least to get these 4 half way decent shots. It's just really hard to get my camera to focus on anything but the shiny metal.

The peanut has been on my list of to buy knives for quite sometime but I haven't actually picked one up yet. :( The only other traditional knives I have that i could compare it to right now are a GEC #66 frames both Calf Roper and Serpentine Jack and a Buck 309 Companion. I think somebody else posted a picture of theirs next to a Peanut in one of my other threads though let me go back and see if I can find them. It may have been next to a Pemberton too though.

thanks for finding that for me.

Im also very curious about buffalo horn compared to ebony
So far I find Ebony very grippy, not slick, unless I rub skin oil on it
Am curious how slick buffalo might feel..
I find slick attractive for using the knife as a worry stone, hand in pocket
My next GEG of interest is the White Owl

and yes, I definitely recommend the Pemberton for its great proportions and strong build.. Im impressed

I've heard some youtube reviewers refer to the Buffalo Horn as feeling like plastic but not sure how accurate that is. I want to say it is more likely to dry out and shrink too if you don't take care of it but not 100% positive about that. I think a mineral oil soak once in a while would prevent anything like that from happening though. I like the White Owl pattern and I also want a #76 Outlaw Jack badly with the yellow bone and rose shield :).
