Sorry if this has been covered before.

I have the .5 micron Hand American diamon spray and I absolutely love the finish it puts on my blades. The edge is super sticky and whittles hair with relative ease. I was wondering if the .25 offers any noticable step up in performance to be worth the price.

I don't doubt that the straight razor guys can note a difference, but I'm curious if you'll be able to tell there's a difference with more EDC type blades.

I just want to encourage you to buy it and report back. :).

Or you can do like I did and purchase some cheap .25 diamond paste (of unknown quality) on eBay. :p Hasn't come in yet, but we'll see if I can tell the difference from the .5 paste I have.

(No doubt I'll eventually spring for some more expensive spray from a 'known' source eventually. Hand America is a better value than the sprays from Schwartz. A compromise between the generic pastes and the premium offerings of Schwartz.)

Where does one purchase "Hand American" spray? In going to the website, it states that that they are in the process of moving, and distributors are mentioned. Who distributes their spray?

try best sharpening stones they used to carry it. I use the .5 on my straight razors and the .25 dosent seem to make much difference unless you go overboard and then it results in a very thin foil edge that dosent last long. I had the .25 and gave it away. the .5 is a keeper for my razors. I stop at 1. on my knives.

i have been thinking about getting some of this stuff! but am a little reluctant to dish-out $25. for 2oz bottle! they say a little go's a long way though, will it really work better on smooth side up leather!

I went to sharpeningsupplies.com, and I could not find Hand American sprays in their Strops and Pastes list. I'll look for another spray somewhere else.
