Here is another khukuri with no scabbard -- a 25 inch Sirupati unmarked but very beautifully done. The knife weighs about 2 pounds and 10 ounces. The handle for this khukuri was done by Pala himself of US grown oak and it there to stay. We have a karda and chakma to go with the Sirupati but not in a matching wood.

We will discount the khukuri to $75 taking $75 off regular price. This should be enough to make a scabbard or have one made.

So, if you want this 25 inch Sirupati delivered to your door for $75 call or email.

Go get 'em, bro'!

I was getting lonely doing all the work in your absence!

We should lay off the tag team approach a bit, Blues, or there's going to be some serious HIKV withdrawal going on.

Thanks, Dave. It caught my eye immediately.

The only downside is that I've just made more work for myself. This will either be another leather sheath project on my plate or I may get daring and try to make a traditional scabbard. Speaking of which, I think I'm pretty clear on shaping the wood but I could use some tips on forming the leather around it. Terry, Tom, anyone, have some advice to offer?

Well, concerning a certain secret project, which, if it works out, I would think that you, Brian, Blues and the rest of the gang here will be very sorely tested.

Fortunately, Harry, I already have the 25 Beretta with the ( pre-ban legal ) threaded barrel and am looking for the suede shoulder holster. That is if that's the project you are talking about.

You tease, Harry! I won't ask what it is but how close is this secret project to seeing the light of day? It sounds like I should be thinking of putting a few bucks aside.

Brian, it is underway at the present time. I expect it to set a new standard of achievement for BirGhorka and be the cause of many ruined keyboards due to uncontrollable drooling.

Harry,

Your enthusiasm for this project leaves me feeling both "shaken" and "stirred".

When Harry approached me about the project I gave him little hope but Bura, the most fearless kami in Nepal, agreed to accept the challenge. And after spending a couple of weeks with Bura watching him work I think he might just pull it off and if he does it will be as Harry says -- uncontrollable drooling. And if Bura fails Harry and I may still ruin our keyboards but it will be with tears of disappointment.

Even OO7 would feel most excited by this item. Note: it is not the JB Khukuri project.
