25 set pin vs new screw

I was wondering if anyone had the chance to take down(if you have/had both) the 25 with the newer stop pin screw config and check the differences from the set pin one? I'm wondering if Chris changed it because of ease of assembly or if there was any issues associated with them? My guess is it took a lot more hand work to get the permanent stop pin set correctly. The first version I had(it was one if the first 30) took a lot of effort to disassemble. Very sticky! My current, I'll call it Gen II, made in March, comes apart very easy.
Any educated input would be great!

This isn't an "educated" comment but...
I have one from February with the set stop pin. Like you postulated, I would guess it was an ease of manufacturing decision. If you don't get it right the first time with a set stop pin, I would imagine reusing that scale is not something that could be easily done.

Good thread. I was wondering about this myself. I had one of the first runs, and it was a bitch to disassemble. The new one I got in a few weeks ago is so smooth and perfect, that I do not foresee any take downs in the near future.
