I just receieved my 25" Sirupati yesterday 6/23/02 and packaged very well. This is my st Himalayan Imports product which I am very pleased with, Thankyou Uncle Bill who also was a pleasure in dealing with. I have yet to cut with it but I am looking forward to doing so...The scabbard is very well made with nice thick black leather with a brass chape(?) and came with 2 little knives also with wood handles one sharp and the other blunt all around. The blade is 25" long 3/8" at hilt, a little over 3/16" at one inch back from the tip, width at hilt 1 1/4" width at widest point 3/4". Carvings on both sides with some brass inlays. The blade came with one side I take it the makers mark and on the otherside is another maybe someone can tell me what it says? Uncle Bill also included 2 smaller knives in the order which was a cool to recieve... Again my Thanks to Uncle Bill...be looking forward to another order as soon as I can decide what I want!

sorry for the bad scanner pics!...better then nothing...

The blunt tool (chakma) is for burnishing the blade. I really like the big 25 incher and in a couple weeks I plan to use it for a trail clearing project in the mountains. I used a Cold Steel model once before but the kraton at the rear of the grip ground up the skin at the base of my palm.

Nice curve on your karda. A bit deeper than most.
