25 with inlay released or soon?

Hi All!

Long time no see! After selling off almost all of my knife collection (I saved a few CRKs), I've got the bug again I think I have seen my next must have.

My edc (small 21 w/ micarta) needs to go back to CRK, while d/ling the work order form on the CRK site I noted a new 25 with Micarta inlays.

I looked around the usual dealers I shop from and didn't see anything. A google search turned up a news story on personaldefenseworld from Jan. 18 2014 but it doesn't look like these things are in the wild yet.

Anyone know what's going on with them? I was thinking of grabbing a TNK silver lug 25 as my new EDC might have to hold on to my EDC a bit longer till I can figure out what's up with the inlay on a 25.

Have you seen the inlayed version, there is a pick on the CRK website. I think you can order straight from them now?
 
I don't recall where, but one of the online dealers has a waiting list. They must be on the way.
 
Their site currently shows ability to order only the plain 25. I hope they change the shape of the inlay...not great looking, IMHO.

Earlier on I found myself buying uniques w/ damascus blades but never using them as they were too pretty. I ended up selling them all.

My edc is getting points on it where the sand blasted texture is worn off the edges of the handle and is shiny there now. I don't need pretty anymore, I want a tool that functions flawlessly!

That being said I don't mind the looks of the 25 inlay at all and prefer it to the 21. The reason I never got into any inlay other than a micarta is I don't like the half polished half sandblasted lockbar side of the 21.

For decorative purposes I would prefer a solid inlay like a mnandi has. I think its a great looking inlay. The Sebenza is for work to me, the new 25 inlay looks like it will provide better grip and that looks good to me!
