25 Years and Still Going

25 years ago today my wife went against the badgering advice of her parents and said I do. Things really seemed against us back then. Even the pastor at my wife's parents Alabama church looked me in my eyes and told me I wasn't right with God, and he really didn't want to marry us. Well after hinting that a donation could change his mind, and me refusing, he married us anyway (And man was I DRUNK):eek:, then about a year after our wedding, the pastors wife caught him in a long time affair with a church worker that he had been with from his previous preaching job for years. He was fired from the church and devorced immediately. Karma is Great!

P.S. Wife is pretty great also. :thumbsup:
 
...preacher disapproved because he heard how Busse guys always have a Mistress or two on the side. Fortunately ours aren't grounds for divorce-- usually.:p

nothing like having a good woman to partner up with! Best life in the world, hope you guys celebrate <at least> 50 more!!!
 
drift draft & littlehoot, Congratulations to both of you for hitting the 25 year mark in your marriages - that is quite an achievement! May God bless you and your spouses with many more happy years together!
 
To put it in perspective. We have an August anniversary, it's on my wife's birthday.

She turned 41 this year, I turned 42 in September.

Yes, I'm aware of the math.

All us ,"silver anniversary" folks have beaten the odds, some more so than others.

What the Heck? We had our 25 year as well this year in June. We are actually doing a vacation next week to celebrate it. Congrats to all of you for the 25 as well. What a coincidence that so many of us would have a 25 this year.

Im still 10 years away from that - hope my sweetie can live another 10 years with my guns nd bladesantics then well met the 25 of course lol
 
A sincere CONGRATS to Drift Draft and everyone else hitting the 25yr milestone!!

My wife and I reached 10 this year and hope for many, many more.

HOWEVER, I can't be the only one who saw the thread title and hoped to see some amazing user blade that Jerry made himself and has been wailed on like a rented mule for 25 yrs straight... :D
