I was born and raised in the tropical rain forest of Central America. Ever since a very early age I have used a knife or, mostly, a machete on a regular basis. Some 25 years ago I learned about the knives made by Mr. Bill Bagwell, and I placed a phone call to Texarkana to ask him to build a knife for me. Well, for some personal reasons Mr. Bagwell wasn't making knives at the time. It was a disappointing moment because I was doing a great deal of hunting then and I needed a good knife badly.
Fast forward to the age of the Internet and thanks to Joe Paranee I learned last year that Mr. Bagwell is well and making knives again. This time I call him to Paradise, Tejas, we talked about many things we have in common and he agrees to make a Bowie for me. But I still hunt, I say. Well, says Mr. Bagwell, I'll also make a smaller knife for you.
And here they are, 25 years after, so to speak. Almost the name of a rock band; except better. Thank you, Bill. Thank you, Joe.
