Edit, it's supposed to say spike horn in the title, but i've been up for over 28 hours.
Is what i'd be writing had I actually made the shot.
Opening day, was going to take anything I could get. I was crossing through some power lines and saw a deer out of the corner of my eye. Took out my binoculars, it was a spikehorn... Not the giant buck I wanted, but atleast it wasn't a doe. I was hunting with an AR with irons to make things a little more challenging. The deer was in a swamp and only his head/neck were showing. I took the shot, he bounded... NOTHING. I then fell face first into the swamp going for another shot.
Hunting woes aside, everyone made fun of my ASH-1, asking me if I was going to stab a deer to death. They weren't laughing anymore when I cleared out good shooting lanes for them. It's very heavy brush, rich with saplings. I must have chopped down a full states worth of brush, and the edge held perfectly. By the end of the night, they wouldn't stop talking about how ridiculously awesome it was.
