Hey everybody I have a buck 112 I brought in 1988 the 25 anniversary model its been on my belt everyday (except for basic training ) Ive also carried other edc's gerber ,benchmade, spyderco ,but the one knife that doesnt switch is my 112 , wish Buck would make the 112 with the nickle bolsters , the blade is a little worn down from 20 years of sharpening but still a great knife , have a 110 and a 112 from 1988 that are still new never been used was wondering if they are worth anything ( wont be selling them just wondering)

well my buck loving friend, buck does make the 112 in nickel!!
also for a limited time only you can have a 112 made in the custom shop!!
you can get s30v nickel and choice of scale material put together jest for you!
my brother did...
as to value of the older ones the 110 and 112 mostly sell on bay at up to 50 on good days and low as 30 on bad days. if with box and paper work up to 70 on good days.
insurance or theft value i would put at 90 with box and paper work..
but that is jest MHO..
the 112 is a great knife! i love it except that it is jest a tad to small for me since i can not bend my thumb ...
of the ladies i have seen carry folding lock backs they all preferred the 112 ...
so while i would not call it a 'girly' knife :D ..
it is the lock back most chosen by ... ladies!

Well I dont know about that , I am a 6'6" 275 lbs pipefitter so Im a big guy but the 112 feels good in my old hands , besides I work in the socialist republic of downtown chicago ,theres no way a 110 would fly , 112 on the belt a spyderco endura in the pocket ,110's in the gunsafe

I don't know if the standard 112 still is available with nickel silver bolsters, but it used to be.

I carry one too, sometimes... .... But I like my 422 more, same size as a 112..... :D ...

ITE

OK ya got me by 4 inches and i got you by 20 lb... ;)
i used the 110 as a sparky for many a year..
yep many places the politicos jest dont like them any longer..

i dont have it as a carry 'cause i cant handle it right any longer
but no, i would not say it is a girly knife at all!!! :o
my daughter likes it's size real well,,,
my son-n-law...
he says why take a big knife when you can carry lunch and combat tupper ware..

Dave, My wife has gone thru many knives during our married life. She'll like them and carry it for a year or less and move on to something else she like better. But in early 2007 I got her a 426 Buck lite w/ drop point blade and that was the end of the rainbow for her. She's carried that one knife only since then and uses it on everything. She fiercly defends it not letting me touch it. Or anyone for that matter. So, different girls like different knives. So, she started the one knife (110) for one year experiment long before Bear Claw and is still going with no complaints.DM

The 110 and 112 Im talking about both have nickle bolsters and the 25th aniversary logo laser inscribed on the blade, I have a bunch of other 110s and 112s but was wondering how much these are worth. these politicians have no clue what its like to work with their hands ,so they want to tell us what kind of tools we carry , if it was up to me besides the knife I would have a Colt Government model straped to my belt ,we just had a woman attacked downtown because she wouldnt give two bums a smoke they smashed her head into the concrete over and over put her in a coma for a couple weeks ,she has 6 teeth left and a 100,000 dollar bill from the hospital, the bums both had long records but were on probation ,yet I cant have a knife with a blade longer then 3" in chicago
