I think that is a very nice looking knife, but imo, fossil walrus has no place in a kitchen knife.....too much moisture in the environment, and I speak from experience of using a paring knife that developed cracks over time, and NEVER soaked in a sink.
Hello tobbe-my favorite swedish maker-his knives are outstanding--and as far as ivory on a kitchen knife-the inupiat eskimo has been using ivory on all kind of tools for thousandsd of years--in conditions that far out way a kitchen environment-i have many examples that still would work today-if the ivory cured properly before using it a kitchen environment without soaking it should never be a problem-now a steam bath might raise a issue--happy trails tobbe
