Hate to sell it but sometimes sh*t happens. Here is a not very good picture of the item in question (2nd from the left):

This khukuri is 26" long and about 3 1/2 pounds. The handle is wood and has a yin and yang symbol carved into the handle. I don't know who the maker is but it has a Star of David like symbol on the blade (I think). Excellent condition has never been used. I'm selling it for $110.00, e-mail me at stuart@fullcontacthi.com if you're interested.

It's Kumar's. Long for my taste, but if it has the same spirit as my L.B., it's one helluva knife.

And it has to sting to part with it.

Stuart if you haven't already put this in the knives for sale forum here on bladeforums it might help to do so.

And getting rid of any beloved blade is the pits.

There are some I let go of years ago that I can still kick myself over. I thought I needed the money they brought in, but I can recall the knives I let go of, but not the reason for doing so.
That puts it pretty much into perspective for me.

Yvsa.

"VEGETARIAN".............
Indin word for lousy hunter.

Yvsa, very wise words. I don't need the cash that bad and I do really like this knife. Uncle Bill, if you read this please delete this thread. Thanks!

Good choice not to sell, first off it might have ended up costing ME 110 dollars. Even though I have a 25.5" Sirupati made by the Kami with no name.
The thing is, kumar left HI, so you won't find anything else done by him.

I looked at this beauty again and I'm glad I decided not to sell.
I was wrong the mark is not a six sided star but a circle or I guess a sun so I think it was made by Sher.

I sold a Glock 19 with 2 high-cap mags a few years ago for the same reason--thought I needed the money. I have also been kicking myself ever since. Although, replacing it with a Glock 30 has helped alot.

Stu, I'll just close the thread. I don't like to delete anything and I believe there is a lesson here. We have another thread going that tells the same story and teaches the same lesson.

Unless you are really desperate there are other items in your life -- generally -- that you can sell a lot easier (on yourself) than a knife or gun or something similar that you happen to love.
