Bend back true? I've put mine through a similar flex and it returned true nicely.

I could not believe the .278" NMFBM would flex.
Here she is, finishing her job.:D

I had an FFBM flex similar to that as well, THAT was a sight. Very knotty hemlock that took me 15 minutes to pound through to see what the knife could handle.

of course she is:)

That first pic shows the true force generated. I've had custom makers that forge their blades tell me that its one of the worst things to do to a blade....

Saying, you know , you shouldnt beat on the spine of the knife...Its not intented for that.

Welcome to the world of Hard Knocks!;):D

When I stopped to take pics, I could hear the wood still splitting, and cracking from the knife flexing back.:D

Yes, and I had a stump laugh at both of my Gransfors bruk, but it was split by my FBMLE and a BIG stick!:thumbup:

The axe bounced multiple times. THe baton kept the mistress going:)

Very cool! Thanks for posting those! I would have thought the NMFBM to power through all but other steel without flexing. Good steel always returns true after a little bend :D You had to be pounding the hell out of it!

Sweet pics.

I had some logs I was splitting with a 9lb maul. Had one that bounced the maul 20 full power swings before it finally gave. The hardest fatwood I have ever seen. Batoned the core out with my FBMLE.

Great pics and that wood looks really dry and hard. Seems like your nmfbm took care of that though.:cool:

I've long carried an impression of INFI as a living entity. In my mind, here's the proof. She's alive, Dr. Busse!

INFI IS!

Oh, yes. I have done the same. It's an amazing sight to see.
