i was at a costco in gwinnett county, georgia earlier today and they had closeouts on the leatherman wave. 29$ and a sheath and AA mini-maglite were included. i bought three and there were still a few left, it looks like they're being closed out.

I like the Wave best of all Leatherman tools. That was a good deal even if it was the old style. Last time I was at our local Costco they only had the Supertool and maglite for about $50.

Although I'm usually opposed to assuming, I think that it's safe to say that spoonrobot is describing the old style Leatherman Wave. I think that Leatherman Tools hold their value rather well, and that the only reason that Costco would be selling a Wave combined with a Mag-Lite for $29 is if they are trying to sell out the old stock.

Sounds like Costco is being successful in that endeavor.

Thats a very good price, I've seen the new Waves at Target for $69 in the clamshell packs and $68 at Wal Mart in the box. That might be worth a membership if they carry more knives. How big is the maglite?

Until spoonrobot gets back, to give you an affirmative answer, most every "combo pack" I've seen, containing a multi-tool and a Mag-Lite, it's a AA model Mag-Lite.

spoonrobot's find is making me wish I lived in Gwinnet County, Georgia!
