The 29th annual OKCA, Oregon Knife Collectors Association Knife Show will be held on April 17 & 18, 2004, this coming weekend at Performance Hall, Lane County Convention Center, 796 West 13th Avenue, Eugene, Oregon. Contact Dennis or Elayne Ellingsen (541)484-5564. Website at www.oregonknifeclub.org.
Janie and I will be there located at tables M1, M2 and M3, to your left, just as you enter the show. Look for the green RKS sign. Please stop and say hello and introduce yourself as a RKS member if meeting for the first time.
This 470 table show has become one of, if not, the premier knife show in America. This is a group effort of the OKCA and the members really support this show and club events. But primarily, the dedication of Dennis and Elayne Ellingsen has made this show great. Bernard Levine is a major contributor also in the show's promotion. Dennis is the show chairman and Elayne is the Secretary/Treasurer.
Actually, the show opens on Friday April 16 for setup, but members are allowed early entry too, with the show vendors. If you are not a member, you may join and attend the show on Friday also.
Show hours:
Friday: 10am - 8pm
Saturday: 9am - 6pm
Sunday: 9am - 3 pm
If you plan to attend the show, expect all tables to be open until closing time, even on Sunday. Strictly enforced.
The 26 knife displays are the best at any show in the country. Some are actually museum quality presentations.
Also, see below a list of some of the RKS members holding tables at this show, including their table number. As you can see, there will be a lot of Randalls for sale. If I missed someone, please let me know and I will add that name to this list.
