I haven't been as active on the forums this summer, but still I'm closing in on 2000 total posts, so it's time to give away a knife to someone who wants it. The knife in question is a stainless steel IXL Swayback with a Hawkbill blade. Marked Wostenholm on the blade. I believe it's from the 1980's, although I could be wrong. Still, it's a nice, unusual, slipjoint that would make a good working knife.

Anyone can enter as long as they have a minimum of 100 posts on these forums. Only one chance.per person. I will ship anywhere as long as the recipient accepts the possible loss and any tariffs inccured. You must be able to receive a knife legally in your locality. Adherence to the laws are the recipients responsibility.

Last, to make this challenging, I'll send another knife to the first person who correctly guesses what my 2000th post will concern. To this end I'll state that it will be knife related, I will not start the thread, and the knife chosen will have some relationship to the posting (ie Manufacturer, Pattern, Scales, age, number of blades, etc). This knife will be chosen by me at the time of the posting and I'll post the choice (and winners) in this thread.

Good Luck!

I'm in thanks for the opportunity. I just got in my first real traditional slipjoint today, a rough rider canoe armor hide and am enjoying it so lets see how my luck holds out. Your 2k post will be about this contest. BTW that's a beautiful knife, I love how the hawkbill blade on this knife is curved in particular, it just looks good in my opinion.

Good looking knife. I'm in.

As for your 2000th post I think, without any good reason, it'll be about a GEC or case knife.

I'm in! Thanks for the chance.

Your 2000th post will be about a Peanut.

Congrats on the 2k!
Thanks for the chance, love slippies, love hawkbills, so really appreciate the chance :)
Count me in please.
My guess is that your 2000th post will be about a knife with stainless scales.
Maybe about etching one with some nice artwork.

Goodluck everyone!

That's something I haven't seen before. I'm in!

Your 2000th post will be about stag handles.

Thanks for the chance!

Congratulations on your impending milestone

My guess would also have been Barlow-related, but since that's already been stabbed at, I'll guess it'll be a Wooden Wednesday post :)

I'm in. I like the way the lines on the knife flow, both open and closed.

My guess is hawk bills.

I believe your post will be discussing the blade steel pro's and cons answering a question thread about it.

I have to throw my hat in the ring. Your 2000th post will be about a Reese Bose knife.
