So this one wasn't at the bottom of a bucket and it wasn't $10. I snagged this one off of ebay Sunday morning for $20 with no competing bidders. I couldn't see the tang in the auction pictures but knew it was a slab side. As fas as I can figure it's a Category II Version 3 blade. It is used but I would call the edge factory with a need of a sharpening. Are my assumptions correct?

Good snag:thumbup:...I do like the 112s without the nail nick. That one appears in great shape. Preston

Looks like the whole blade is there with little loss. The brass looks good and I would clean it but that is just me. Nice find.

Sithus,
Another nice find and your assumptions are correct as far as I can see. I'd send her in for a spa and she'll come back like new.

I did my own spa treatment. Didn't take much to make it shiny.

I got this 470 today, it's going to need a sheath.

Sithus, that 112 came out nice... ... I got me a 470 to on Sunday with about 10 other knives... is it a 470 or a 475??? I have a friend that has alot of sheath I'll ask him if he has any for a 470... ITE ...

It's a 470, 1999 date code. I have half the original and have seen what the full original looks like, don't much care for it. I"ll just make a leather pouch sheath for it.

Thats the Mentor, Buck brought it out in 1994 with a hard plastic sheath and cordura belt loop . The club even used it as Limited Edition dressed up for members in 2003 . Good find . DM
