Ok so iv'e been looking at knives from a lot of the makers iv'e been a fan of over the years like Direware RJ Martin Turpin Rexford and others. Getting on the books with these guys is almost impossible and the 2nd hand market prices have gotten so far out of hand that even if I could afford them I could never bring myself to carry them let alone actually use them. Can anyone recommend any newer makers with a lot of potential that I should start looking at now before the 2nd hand market prices get out of control on their knives.
Thanks
Matt

A relatively newer maker with proven potential usually will also fall into the previous category. With the popularity of social media these days it takes a click to get on a wait list. The number of buyers keep increasing yet the makers can only work as fast

I paid the asking price for my RJ Martin and I love every second of having it

There are quite a few makers here. Your & my "stories" about finding a good price & a user are quite similar. I found that if you like it & have found good reviews from other members here, just set a budget, find something you like, & talk with the maker. Every maker I have talked to has been great to work with. Anyways, Mario @ MLL Knives has a real nice assortment with which you can order & customize to your liking & his turn around is rather quick: he also has some ready for sale on his site usually. I bought one from Dave Wenger & was blown away when it arrived! There are many more, I would go to USA Made Blade & see what's in stock. They carry an awesome amount from great makers.....T.M.Hunt, Fiddleback Forge, Justifier, etc. Sorry to blab on, but a new knife or first custom is exciting. Good luck & enjoy
