Here is my second try at a hidden tang. On this one I used a very nice popcorny piece of stag that I picked up at last years OKCA (Wish I had more!). The blade is Aldos 1095 with a nicely polished hamon. The collar is browned/antiqued mild steel. OAL is 9.5", with a 5" blade (tip to collar).
I just realised I didn't snap a pic of the front of the collar, but it is hammer textured as well.
I tried some different thing on it, and its not perfect, but overall I am pretty pleased with it.
Any and all comments and critiques are welcome! Thanks for looking.

Ben, For your second hidden tang, that is pretty amazing. Heck, it is pretty amazing for your 100th hidden tang. I really like your stuff. The photography ain't bad either.

Looks good. The photo editing looks good too.

There was lots of NICE stag available at the OKCA last year and I regretted not buying any.

I like the use of a collar. Very sleek.

Thanks Matt and Brian!
Yeah Brian I found 3 good pieces last year, and regret not getting more. I will have look harder and earlier this year!! Let me know if you see any I should buy. :D

Wow, Ben, that's gorgeous, and a total departure from your usual fixed blade style. Impressive versitility.

Thanks for the kind words guys!!

Due to some friendly prompting, I decided to add a butt cap.

I love the blade with a beautiful hamon, popcorn stag handle and the aged hardware. They all add up to an awesome blade.

Thanks again guys! I am going to hold on to this one and bring it to the OKCA show in a couple months.

Nice work Ben. Is there a pin through handle / tang or did you use just epoxy?

Beautiful knife!!!
I like very much the fittings, how do You do to get that aged look on mild steel? it look like bronze from pics.
Very good!!!

Thanks guys!
William - The tang is notched and epoxied
Stezann - The fitting are finish with Birchwood Casey Plumb brown.

I really like how the swedge runs the entire blade. Looks really nice.

Also that hamon is amazing looking.
