Well,
It's easy to see how this beauty became my main squeeze again (and I literally mean squeeze!). No pocket clip and it all makes sense:
I think the ergonomics of this knife were figured out before the pocket clip was tacked on at the end without enough thought. The whole "Integral to the Industry" slogan stuff shows a 25 locking slab with no pocket clip, so I think even CRK might agree with me.
Anyhow....
Rocked my 25 all week with no clip and the knife was an awesome companion. With no clip you get the full slab against your palm and it feels right (at least to me), especially with no clip stuck in my finger as I described here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1157256-25-Pocket-Clip-I-agree-with-the-haters
If you also feel inspired to remove your clip for a spin it's easy to do. Some are looser than others. If you have a tight clip, and worry you will bend it prying it out of it's socket, you can put a piece of paper under the clip to prevent scratches, and use your provided allen key as a lever like this:
The only thing I can't decide is whether I want to pay $25 for that little Ti filler plate, and end up with a screw sticking proud of the slab, or just put the screw back in, or just leave it like it is. Now back to my weekend!
