Just finished my 2nd "real" knife - The first knife finished with my home brewed grinder. 6 3/4 total length 2 3/4 edge x just over 3/16 - 1084 steel from Aldo, plain figured hard maple with red liners. Completely different from my first knife.
As you can see this knife departs from the usual woodlore clone bushcraft style knives in the grind and the somewhat pointier shape of the blade. The grind was intentional, because I thought it would make a more useful blade than a scandi on such thick metal. I really intended the blade to have a bit more belly in it - but it just kind of turned out this way instead - but I kind of like it anyway. Still the goal is for the finished product to match the plan - so, still learning. Obviously.
