Since you asked for critique:
The handle is oddly shaped and angled. It looks very uncomfortable and hard to use.
The blade isn't well finished, which you know, and the angle in the edge to the tip is not attractive or useful.
I can't tell from the photo, but it looks like you just put an edge on the steel bar and didn't file in any bevels.
Suggestions:
Finish - Work on finish. You should file/grind until the blade is smooth and has all the bevels and shaping done. Then you sand. Start with 100 grit paper and go to at least 400 grit. There should be no grinding or filing marks left when the blade is ready for HT. After HT go back to 220 grit and sand back up the grits to at least 800 grit.
Shape - The whole spine should be a more or less continuous line with a slight curve to it.
The whole edge should be a smooth line that curves up to the tip. Take a look at the attached picture
Take a look at the photos below and you will see the two shape features I am talking about. Compare them to your knife and see where there is improvement to be made. I would suggest you try a basic Drop Point Hunter for your next knife.
Keep at it and improve each knife over the last one. Before long you will be amazed at how good they get. The real thing is not to settle for, "Good enough".
