OK one of the many forum members sent me a village surpati kukri to test. So I took it out and put it through a few small and not rough tests. I first tested it for shaving sharpness, it easily passed that, second paper cutting, once again easily passes that, third test was the toilet paper test, i know its not smart to test a large blade with such a test but oh well i did, it failed that one miserably. It went in but tore the whole way down. I think did some light chopping/splitting. It handled well, it has good tip weight and made splitting kindling a piece of cake. I have one small problem with this knife, I found the handle to be a little small for my hands.
Thats about all the review I did. I feel that for the price, its carried by HI, you cant go wrong.
Ok now to the good news, I finally stopped feeling bad for myself and I called Jerry and put a Battle Mistress on order. I asked how long I could take to pay it off and he gave me as long as I need. So hopefully by this time next year I can have it payed off.
Oh and more good news, I will stop pestering with my ghillie suits, ok. I might still be able to find some of my blades to sell, but the thing with the suits will be stopped.
