2ot for sale

This 'ere mate 'd luv ta pick up a #2 or 2, but oy needs me car & house. Meanwhile, the Schrade Swap Shop seems to be going nowhere. I made a list of things I want and things I want to go bybye, just for fun. calvinpruett@bresnan.net.

i am 'uncomfortable' with this thread. we all friggin' want a 2OT. but if we start using this forum to sell then it'll go to shit with bidding wars and pissed off feelings.
this forum has no mod. we are to self oversee.
i suggest thread be closed and in future the BF "for sale" forums be used. whadayouthink ?

I agree with Roland!!
Besides, if you post a picture, you can PM or Email the people who are "lit up" by the knife, and will probably get an offer.
Don't use this forum to sell your knives. It perverts the purpose of the forum, which is to promote the knowledge and history of these fine knives.

I can't believe it lasted this long. I figured last night when I made my wise crack it would be gone before morning. Someone is usually "johnny on the spot" if you do some auction spotting. Thanks Paul for the withdrawel. And for the rest of you all, hopefully no hard feelings. Paul is a good guy. And no, I am not getting his 2-OT. :D

i think it's great that we can work cooperatively and that Paulaustralia is a good guy for agreeing.
but it would be helpful to work out some system that enables Schrade collectors to know when something special becomes available without getting this forum off it's friendly helpful course.

Where's that blankety blank Schrade trader's thread when you need it???

SPARK!! WHERE ARE YA BRO???

Maybe if Spark doesn't want to go for the Schrade Cami sell/swap tag, he'll at least consider a traditional slippie tag. I hate going over to the present sale thread and constantly finding nothing but tactical stuff. Not to put those guys down but it's just not my bag and seems like a waste of time even perusing.

one idea for using the BF forum: "For Sale by Individuals: Production Knives", is to have an agreed upon day/time when members of this forum would post their Schrades. for example if it was every friday from 6 to 8p.m., then it would be easy for the rest of us to make a habit of dropping in there every friday evening to see "what's up".

end of last week I posted in service and support and spark said we could have a schrade for sale " tag" not our own thread but good enough, kinda like the buck guys have over under the for sale area. Here is a link if you guys wanna help me push it. Then we could put stuff up for sale or " trade" so it would be just like a for sale or trade area for schrade camillus guys.- Joel

We have a forum area on bf for every interest/area, even specifically a schrade forum, whithin ,mind-you a collectors forum area, yet if anyone wants to sell etc you have to go out in the cold and put it in general popolation , like tactical gear ,and tell everyone , ive got a pissy 330 for sale . Why bother everyone else with your style if they are in to bayonets. There should be a forsale in each area for their speciffic forum. Trade should stay the same but individuals should be able to sell close to home. After all we talk history specs and all the other dribble because we are collectors and buying and selling is part and parcel with it.
I am a member of a shooting forum and it kicks ass you can show pics of your shoots , talk, and if you make some snazzy gear or parts or want to sell a rifle you just blert it out "because we are talking" not mediated,as long as you are not! A retail or trade sales.we should be able to sell a shit sandwich if we want , all that matters is if someone wants to buy it.
Ever been to a tea party with no biscuits.

Totally agree with ya paul, if there is a case area there should be a case for sale area and same for every maker, would make things much easier. P.S.- I never even been to a tea party, but I have been to a biscuit party and we had BEER! - Joel

AAPK has a trade forum & even a for sale forum that is no charge to members. If they want to sell a lot of stuff, members are encouraged to open a store. Most of the stuff there is more traditional.........lots of slippies.
It would be nice if we could do that here on BF. I wouldn't even mind paying a small fee to use such a feature here. I agree though, the traditional knives (when there is one) gets lost in among all the tactical knives. I have tactical knives & I use them, but few of them have a lot of history behind them that makes me want to collect them like the slippies.

I guess there advantages to small forums and advantages to large forums.
