2x36 Grinder??

I have the oprotunity to get this cheap...has anyone every used one? Or better yet do you think this would be a platform to upgrade to a 72" Rig??

Any input on this is appreciated.

2X36 is a bit of an odd size. I just checked Tru Grit for belts. I didn't see that size listed. I think they could have them made up for you but probablt require a minimum order thing. Perhaps just give them a call. Scott, there is a real service guy ! Frank

Could get a belt splitter and make them from 4x36 belts. Won't have that nice factory edge on one side, however. Hard to find nice 4x36 belts, I've been through a lot of them. That being said, I think this would be a better starter than many other "cheap" options, depending on how much you are getting it for. Nice that it has a contact wheel.

This was in an old texas knifemakers supply catalog, that I have. There was also the larger version 2x 48 I think, that uses a bigger grinder. Probaly wouldnt be too hard to refabricate to a larger belt though.
