Hey guys, I remember someone recommending a good place to order belts from. It was a small mom and pop kinda web site. Any ideas?

Pops knife supply?

I’ve been ordering from combat abrasives since they have a great sale for military, but recently branched out to tru-grit for a wider variety of belts (cubitrons, blaze, trizact, etc..). I’m happier so far with tru-grit even though prices are higher.

I've ordered from Canadian Knife Maker, Tru Grit and Pops. No bad experiences and fast shipping from everyone. Usually my belt order is dictated by what else I want and who has it.

That being said, Pops is awesome and you will likely pay less than the quoted shipping as he shops around.

That's big. Its kinda scary since they are so good. If they can keep the same value and service as they have now and increase the inventory it would be a rare thing of something fantastic getting better.

I originally read this wrong thinking that Fiddleback Forge bought belts FROM pops. But I just placed and order and talked to Andy, one of the owners of Fiddleback Forge, and they did indeed buy Pop's Knife Supply due to James retiring. He said they are planning on increasing inventory and keeping the prices very close to what they are now. And they will even eventually be offering knife making/blacksmithing classes there in Braselton GA (only about an hour from me). Seemed like a really friendly dude that is on top of things! Looking forward to seeing them move forward, especially w/ the new website which was in much need of updating :)

Thanks for the update Josh - I hate to hear Pop is retiring, but he and his wife are both in my age group so it's not surprising. Maybe I'd better get a belt order placed before things change :)

Sounds like they are going to keep the same prices and same inventory. But yeah it wouldn't hurt!

Pop is a great guy and when I was just starting years ago he would spend all kinds of time with me on the phone helping me out. Shout out to you Pop!!!!!!!!
