Little blades = PITA  I was able to finish this knife AFTER making a second set of blades and taking my time with the swedges.:o:p This is my first 2 blade slip joint...almost as much work as making two complete knives but it's all good. A great lesson in patience.:)

Blades and springs are D2, bolsters/liners/pins and pinned shield is SS, the handle material is 70s Westinghouse ivory paper Micarta(from fitzo's personal stash... THANKS MIKE!). I finished the handle to 2500, Bolsters are fluted and finished to 600 grit brushed finish.

Thanks for all the nice comments folks.

siguy...maybe some light would come thru it if it was a VERY bright light but I would have to say it is 99% opaque. I think the reason it looks like it does is due to the yellowing of the outer layers of the material.

That's a great pattern and you certainly did it justice, Kerry! I'd love to own that knife. I bet that shield was "fun" to fit in that hard stuff.

You're most welcome for the Micarta; after all these years hanging out in a box, it finally got to shine! :)

Kerry

Great work. Someone, who just may happen to be the proud owner of this gem was flashing pictures on Sunday and getting everybody all hot and bothered over his new Swayback. Most unkind and inhumane of him - especially when he knows we all love Swaybacks!!

You really did a beautiful job on this little guy.

Rick

Hey Kerry,You sure this is your first 2 blade slipjoint ?
I think you're pullin' my leg. :D

The man kept the whole package at 7/16" wide, outside measure on the scales, that's nice.

This one is a fantastic little perfect pocketknife you made here for me  ,sharp, too I Thank You Sir,
-Vince
