3/32" blade - A2 or D2?

My first post!

I've been reading and learning for two years. I've made a couple of knives now out of 1/8" D2. Now I'm after a lightweight neck knife and I'm thinking of using 3/32" stock. (7" OAL with about a 3.25" blade) My question is, would I be better off using A2 instead of D2 for this particular project. Or is this not a "toughness" issue?

Either steel should do a fine job for you.I have done some Knives out of 1095 in this thickness with great results...Just my opinion....Bruce
