So, recently picked up a production skinner and noticed the detent was quite a bit stronger (love it by the way) then my slicer, warni and spanto. I immediately ripped it down and noticed the drill hole detent (whatever you want to call it) on the blade that the detent ball sits in when the blade is closed is a hair bigger.
I loved it so much that I immediately started the hunt for the bowie production. I picked one up last week and ripped it down to investigate the detent on the blade and observed the same bigger hole but this time the detent hole is drilled straight through the blade. Does anyone else have the hole drilled straight through? Is this going to be the new norm. Because if it is IMO this should be considered a new GEN simply because the flipping action is 10 fold different. It is a manufacturing difference so would it not constitute a new generation?
I really hope all the future productions have a similar detent.
