Hello to all Knife Masters, Apprentices and Scholars!

I recently took a liking to straight edges (Wharncliffe, Sheepsfoot, Lambsfoot...) and I would like an EDC fixed blade.

So why not combine those two?

I would like a more traditional look, 3.5 inch for both handles and blade, full tang construction and wooden scales (dark or strongly patterned preferred).

I would prefer to be able to order it somewhere from Europe, but international orders are no problem.

Budget, including insured, trackable shipping to Germany, should be around €150,- (~ $205,-).

Sheath: Leather preferred, horizontal carry (left, to cross-draw) preferred.

Is there something like this around?

Cheers,
Bernd

Hi Nalon. Just clarifying. I think either you made a typo in your price or your range might be a bit higher. 150 Euro is about $206US today :)
If your price is that bit higher it would be well worthwhile contacting some of the custom makers over in the Fixed Blades for Sale area to see if they could produce exactly what you're after. There is some amazing talent over there and from time to time I do see knives which are pretty close to what you've described. Just a thought.
Good luck with it. You have some interesting specifications so I'd love to hear what you decide on.

A custom is the only knife that I can think of with all of those features...

I just finished working with Big Chris; my new baby will be inbound soon. He's a great guy. I can recommend him fully!

Ah yes, *1.35 is a little different from /1.35, thanks for the correction. So it is € 150,- (~ $ 205,-) I guess this weeks work really scrambled my brain ;)

Do you really think I can go custom with this limited budget? With the knifemakers around here a custom one in this size would start at about €250.- (~ $335.-) and could go up to astronomical amounts (Dietmar Kressler anyone? ;))

I'll give it a try though, thanks for the info! And good luck on the WTC :( I still remember exactly where I was on that day...

Best regards,
Bernd
