This one comes in @ just a hair under 3 1/2" Ats-34, integral Frame, Sambar stag.
The knife has nice action all around , blades centered and solid. NFS Take a look. Ken.

That looks great, really like how low that wharncliffe rides. Your grinds look very fine as well.

I've got a question...you mention that the frame is integral, does that mean the shield is integral as well?

The pin on the shield is silver brazed to the back of the shield, after the cavity is cut the pin on the shield goes thru the liner and is peened on the backside.
Ken.

Ken, I don't know how you can stand to part with the knives you make. I couldn't do it.

Also...how many Ken Coats knives do you see with stag?

Awesome job Ken. I can't wait to get this one in my pocket.

Thanks! It's hard for me to deny my custom slip joints as they all end up with some form of a keystone shield.....it's my thing. :p

Thanks for your comments and hope to see you at Blade again this year.

Jason

Wow, that is quite something. Beautiful!

Beautiful knife, Ken! The stag looks well matched with just enough texture and color. In fact, I can't see anything to not like about this one. Good size, blade selection, and the wharncliffe looks like it sits fairly low in the closed position.

Enjoy it, Jason!

So tell me if the keystone shield is your baby, how many S&M's you got? Or is it just a custom thing?
