3.5" Slicer Blade lenght?

Is it exactly 3.5" or more like 3.25"....

I just received a slicer and the blade appears short to me. I am measuring from the tip of the knife directly back towards the very start of the scale and am getting 3.25".

??
 
Im definitely short. The blade doesn't appear to have been re-profiled for a broken tip, Ill contact the seller to see if he knows anything.
 
Seller says he never had a problem with the blade and he got it straight from Hinderer, weird.
 
We're Not doing this one either Gentlemen. Knife was purchased on the secondary market so, this is a He said - He said issue that isn't open for discussion.
4", 3.5" and 3" XM's are as they are from tip to the front of the scale. Without using a micrometer or atomic microscope - the measurements are as stated.
 
Rob (or any of the Mods) always glad to help in such matters via Email OR PM - just not an issue for open forum discussion.

I'm going to move this and you guys can discuss this all you want. Does anyone REALLY think knives leave the Ranch with varying lengths?
Could it Possibly be - a seller (who sold a knife) might lie about the life experience of the blade OR is it more likely the RHK process known for Quality control decided to short a blade by 1/4 of an inch???

Obviously, the thought that I got ripped off / lied to was the first to run through my head. However since I dont have much experience with Hinderers I asked in a place where I thought I would receive help in order to not call someone out under false or assumed information. I dont know about others but I like to get my facts straight before calling anyone out.
 
By the way, its been pointed out that the size is off so feel free to close this, got what I needed.
