Just this week rec. 3 large f.b's in the mail. One is a Camillus Becker Companion. Bought it dirt cheap and pretty much unused save for rubbing on the coating taking it in and out of the custom kydex sheath. I have a blank I bought too and the finished knife is well for lack of a better word FAT! This knife will cleanly shave the hair off your arm but the wierd thing is that for such thick blade it is a nice thin bevel at the edge.
Next I rec. a CS War Head the latest edition. I was looking for a fool proof bed side buddy to supplement my .45 and this is it with out a doubt. Pretty even grinds and razor sharp to boot. Definetly a scary bugger to be sure. Again this thing is dirt cheap and seemingly very decent quality. Not the thickest spine mind you but seems sturdy enough for what I want it for.
Lastly is an older Olsen OK camp knife, made in Solingen Germany. Big thick stag scales and nice brass half guard. Upturned blade and carbon steel. Razor sharp now and filled in gaps where the stag shrunk a bit on the tang with some very thin loctite. Worked great. This is a very big knife almost 15" long and reminds me of that little sharp finger hunter by Schrade only much bigger. Same blade style if you know what I mean. Maybe I'll get chance for pics later.
Anyways about done with fixed blades now, and out of the 3 I like the Olsen the best. Just solid old world craftsmanship. keepem sharp
