top -- 20 inch 23 ounce very quick Kumar Kobra by Kumar. This is a 10/10 effort by Kumar. The only thing wrong with the entire rig is Kumar worked out a small forging flaw of some king on right side of blade which left a little dimple in the blade. If you look closely you might be able to see it -- right at mid blade at the top of the edge grind. Outside of this the entire rig is perfect.

Take it away for $75.

center -- 20 inch 2 and a wuarter pound AK by Sher. Fit, finish, hardness all right up there. Good work by Sher. Only problem is small chip at tip of handle at buttcap. Chip is intack but needs glue to make the knife perfect. Good karda and chakma. Same of perfect scabbard and frog by village sarki.

Fifty bucks off -- $145 and worth it.

bottom -- 18 inch two pound UBE by Durba. This one was at the bottom of the pile and had been there for some time. Knife is perfect. Good khukuri shaped karda and chakma. Problem is the scabbard. It is sound but leather is old style and ratty. Take this one home for $125 and you'll save enough to pay Terry Sisco to make you a brand new top notch custom scabbard.

Call or email if interested in these good deals.

and a warning to the wood in the land of the Franks.

and now, a haiku to commemorate the occasion:

The french verge trembles...
Stephensee will have his khuk,
Steel flies on steel wings.

How's that?

Keith

Doesn't pay to go on a mail run. :)

Will have to hire a secretary to monitor the forum while I'm gone.;)

ENJOY!

Beware Stephensee, il ya des gens qui parlent francais ici et certains d'entre eux savent ce que 'verge' signifie:D
So it trembles, you say?

Does someone could translate Ferrous Wheel's words in french for me please? My english language is a little limited :

"good snag, Stephensee. ...
and a warning to the wood in the land of the Franks.
and now, a haiku to commemorate the occasion:
The french verge trembles...
Stephensee will have his khuk,
Steel flies on steel wings.
How's that?
Keith"

Merci beaucoup!
Stephen

That's the best I can do:

"Bien joue, Stephensee! Payez attention, les forets dans le pays des Francs! Et maintenant, un peu de haiku pour commemorer l'occasion:

La frontiere francaise tremble,
Stephensee aura son khuk
L'acier vole sur les ailes d'acier

Qu'est-ce que tu en crois?
Keith"

(je n'ai aucune idee comment faire des accents, donc il n'y en a pas du tout. Pardon:p )

A la prochaine!
Sharri
