I have a question for you Hogs and Pigs around here. If you were limited to three knives for outdooor use backwoods stuff. What knives would you choose? Thanks,

1. - Mean Street - small chores
2. - Satin Jack or NMSFNO - Medium stuff
3. - Bushwacker Mistress or CGFBM - Large chopper

I'll stick to ones I actually own - I would go with the active duty, smooth bolt sjtac, and bushwacker. If we open it to all busse family blades, it would be the swamp rat vex, scrapyard s5le, and bushwacker.

Active Duty
SAR8
Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Battle Mistress

Well since there are no limits on this one

I think this would be near perfect as well... :thumbup:

Maybe switching the SAR8 with an SFNO LE or switching the NMFBM with an FBM LE...

I like them LEs... :D

Tweener Meaner
SFNO
CG CBT FBM

If just one blade only NMSFNO

I'd go High Street, Satin HG55, and CGFBM.

I could get by with those three.:thumbup:

my list, as of now, goes like this:

* BWM (big and thin)
* ASH1 (medium and chunky)
* Culti (small and thin)

and while I love my ASH1 to death, and it stands on its own as a great all-around, I think a SHSJ would make a better middle knife in the 3-knife combo - but, sadly, I don't have one so it's a moot point.

and, I think it's worth noting that with these three knives (BWM, ASH, Culti) my plan is to carry either the ASH only as an all-around do everything or carry the BWM and the Culti when I have the room and feel like toting that big of a combo.

Busse Family?

FBM 2007 SE chopper
Original Ratweiler mid-sized
Rat Safari Skinner (D2 version) or ABA LE for everything else

The problem above is that there's no fillet knife.
I'd substitute a good fillet knife for the mid-size Ratweiler if this were a real "you gotta' leave right now with three knives" scenario.

I'd get the BushWacker and Boss Street now. Because they are available at good prices. Maybe an ASH or SFNO to round it out. :)

Out of the ones I own:

Small: Game Warden or Scrap Muk
Medium: Skinny Ash or Tank Buster or HG55
Large: NMSFNO

Its really too hard to choose. There is really no going wrong any way you go - let your own personal tastes guide your decision.

Battle Mistress of some sort.
CG ash
Boss street

(sorry, I only own 3 busses and one isn't even here yet)

Can I add a carbon mora?

Ok Hog's and pigs, Im still learning all the different models but really can't handle them In person. So its hard to tell which ones would feel better in the hand. I noticed theres no mention of sh's. Also the bm's are always mentioned. Which bm would be better handling for chopping,batoning? Would it be better to have a balanced bm, or blade heavy model, thick or thin blade? Thanks,

OH, I forgot to mention if any of you Hog's happen to have an extra bm lying around you could send me to try out.:D:D I would gladly pay for shipping,:D
Ok how I'm doing, sound good? No really I appreciate your guys imformation and experience. Thanks,
